The Corona Virus has put the spotlight on key workers and the contribution they have made during the global pandemic. This was recognized this week by VOGUE Magazine who have featured three key workers on the cover of their July edition.
One key worker, Narguis Horsford, a train driver for Arriva Rail London is featured proudly wearing her Transport for London uniform which is made by Cooneen Group!
As well as the VOGUE cover the trio feature in a VOGUE video which gives an insight into their lives and the role they have played as they have continued to work through the crisis. Cooneen are pleased to have played a part in ensuring key workers have been able to continue to do their jobs!
Cooneen are really proud of the massive effort and commitment of their staff across the business who have continued to work through the Covid-19 crisis. This was achieved due to the introduction of strict new protocols across all Cooneen locations including temperature recognition prior to entry, introduction of hand sanitisation, social distancing measures, and wearing of protective gloves, face coverings and coveralls while on each site. These new measures have ensured our ability to continue to meet the needs of our customers and key workers across the nation.
The Group has also been active in supporting their communities by manufacturing face coverings and distributing these to local groups, and assisting the national volunteer networks created to produce scrubs for the NHS!
